Ciotti feature and some preseason All-Americans

If you missed it, here's a feature on Yale RB coach Larry Ciotti who is stepping down after 21 seasons on the Bulldogs staff.

Ciotti will now work in a part-time role as the university's advisor to the director of athletics and head football coach.

Also, a handful of Bulldogs were named to the USA College Football FCS Preseason All-America Team.

QB Morgan Roberts, DL Copache Tyler, TE Leo Haenni, DB Foyesade Oluokun and OL Luke Longinotti were selected to the second team. DB Cole Champion and RB Candler Rich were named honorable mentions.

Lett expected to be named new Yale RB coach

Yale is expected to name Derrick Lett its new RB coach, a source confirmed.

Lett comes from the University of Tennessee where he served as offensive quality control assistant for two seasons.

He spent four seasons as the passing game coordinator at Bowling Green High (Ohio) prior to that. Lett played WR at Bowling Green State from 2001-05.

Lett replaces Larry Ciotti, who stepped down as Bulldogs RB coach after 21 seasons. Ciotti still remains very involved with the program.

Former Yale WR to join Bulldogs coaching staff (UPDATE 6/7)

Former Yale WR Chandler Henley is expected to join the Yale coaching staff, according to sources.

Henley was named Holy Cross RB coach in March. Prior, he served three seasons as an assistant on the Vanderbilt staff as a graduate assistant.

Henry captained the Bulldogs in 2006 and earned All-Ivy honors.

UPDATE: Henry will be the tight ends coach at Yale. He will replace Patrick Hatch, who has accepted a position in the athletic department at Stony Brook... Also, Chris Smith (Patriots) and Charles Cook (Panthers, Bucs) have been told to be in football shape and be ready for a call, but are not currently with a team.
