Victor Egu having impressive spring, start time for Blue-White scrimmage

NEW HAVEN >> Players and coaches around the Yale football team are speaking highly of Victor Egu this spring.
Also, the spring session comes to an end next week. The Blue-White scrimmage is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Yale Bowl on April 18.

Press clippings aside this is the same prediction as the last two years. Hope third time is the charm.

Agreed 6:04PM. I do feel like though throughout his football career (last 2 years of HS included playing ILB as a junior and DE as a senior) he has made changes to fill holes and for the better of the team (playing both DE and LB last year). In addition he is a fundamentally good enough player with such a great upside and intangibles that coaches need and want to get him on the field (led the team as a freshman in sacks and forced fumbles).

I also feel like this may be the place he really shines. Given his size coupled with good speed for his build coming down hill he would be able to fill holes at the L.O.S. with some serious force. With a nice DL coming back and an experienced secondary that should allow us to do some different things with the pressure we send this may really be the year for him to break out.
