Champion eager to lead Bulldogs
Previous captains Will McHale and Beau Palin helped lay the foundation for the resurgence of Yale football.
This season, captain Deon Randall guided the Bulldogs as they turned the corner and placed themselves back among the top teams in the Ivy League.
Now Cole Champion is ready to lead Yale to the next step: a league title.

Wasn't Will McHale stripped of his captaincy due to an altercation at Toad's?
Yes he was. And wasn't much of a leader in any other way either. He should not be included in the same sentence with Beau Palin and Deon Randle - two upstanding kids who were on and off the field leaders and role models.
At least he has the same last name as Joel McHale.
