Hatch named TE coach

Patrick Hatch has been named Yale’s new tight ends coach.

Hatch spent the last four seasons as an assistant coach at Stony Brook. He spent two seasons as a defensive line coach and the last two as a running backs coach for Union.

Hatch, from Meriden, was a three-time all-conference offensive lineman at Union College before graduating in 2006. He replaces Kris Barber on the Yale staff.

Read the Yale release: The last four years he was at Stony Brook, the last two years as RB coach. Three years before that he was at Worcester Poly. He is a graduate of Union.

C'mon- The question is what happened to Kris Barber? He was relatively new to the team. Why would he leave Harvard to follow Reno and then leave after a couple of years?

There are kids on the team that were planning on working with him... Why did Barber leave?
