Spring game

Readers,
Sorry for the lack of updates, as I have been away.
Here is a link to the story from the Spring Game.
I am sitting down with head coach Tony Reno on Friday morning and promise to have consistent updates moving forward.
Please comment on this post with any questions that you would like me to ask Reno and I will do my best to get them answered.
Thank you.

Why was the spring prospectus eliminated this year?
When will the roster be updated (seniors dropped, people like Larkin added, etc)?
On what date will the incoming class be posted?
Why the drop-off in news, in general?

Welcome back, and thanks for opening the floor to questions.

I assume there will be many questions regarding players, positions and battles for starting jobs, so I'll hit a few lesser areas:

* Can Reno comment yet on the incoming freshmen, and if so, what areas did he and his staff try to address, and how well did they do?

* Does Reno have any feel for how things may change -- if at all -- from a philosophical standpoint when power transfers from Levin to Salovey?

* Has the fall scrimmage date and opponent been set yet, and if so, will the scrimmage be open or closed to the public?

* Rumor has it there may be some changes to the uniforms this fall -- any comments on that?

* OK, I lied - one player-specific question: any word on whether or not Chris Smith and Deon Randall are expected back this fall?

Chris - congratulations on your marriage. And since you asked about questions for Coach, here are a few thoughts: Since the offensive starters and contributors seem pretty set (excluding the gigantic question of who will win the starting QB spot of course) my questions are all on the D-side. Here are two: one is what will the basic defensive look be - 3-4 or 4-3 or a combination of looks or whatever. And the second is
specifically about the D-line. We know we have Palin there, and I think Drake is returning, but we also lost Daffin and Dooley, and don't seem to have much "beef" there. I would love to hear Coach Reno's thoughts about the D-line for the upcoming year.

Spring Game starting offensive line was Gavin and Carbery at tackle, Longinotti and Chism at guard, Oppenheimer at center. All are returning starters (Carbery has just moved from guard back to tackle, where he played freshman year) so that seems pretty set as the starting line going into August
