Egu will play at Yale

Highly touted recruit Victor Egu will play at Yale next season after all, a source has confirmed.
Egu, a 6-3, 217-pound OLB, de-committed from California and committed to Yale.
Justin Alumbaugh, Egu’s high school coach at De La Salle, told the Yale Daily News in January Egu would attend prep school before heading to Yale. But a source said, “He will definitely be at Yale next season.”
Yale coach Tony Reno can’t comment on recruits until May.
Egu highlights what looks to be a very promising recruiting class for the Bulldogs.
Along with California, Egu also received offers from Oregon and Notre Dame. He finished with 42 tackles, seven sacks, two fumble recoveries and an interception last season.

Fabulous news. I hope your "source" is correct.

Thank God. I couldn't see someone with Victor Egu's credentials being penned up in a New England boarding school for a year. As it is, he and Paul Rice can have fun together.

Great news, and a big "get," but it's disappointing to see that the assistant responsible for recruiting many of this class' top guns has left (Petzing).

Since Petzing is not going to another college, let's hope he briefs his successor and introduces him to the relevant contacts.
