Breaking down Lafayette

Yale (1-3) will host Lafayette (3-2) Saturday at the Yale Bowl.

Timely drives and capitalizing on turnovers have keyed the Leopards three wins.
Backup quarterback Zach Zweizig struggled last week in a 35-14 loss to Princeton. He completed 17 of 28 passes for 194 yards with two interceptions and a touchdown. He was also sacked four times. Starter Andrew Shoop missed last week’s game with concussion-like symptoms. Shoop has been practicing this week.
Lafayette is fast and its WR corps will be the speediest Yale has seen so far. The Leopards roll with a two-headed backfield in Vaughn Hebron and Ross Scheurman to bring a mix of speed and power. Defensively, they will stack the box.
Lafayette has some playmakers along the perimeter like DB Jared Roberts and DL Shane Dorner has four sacks this season.

Here is the latest story on Lafayette from the Express-Times.
