Report: Morris to be Yale's offensive coordinator

According to an entry on the coachingsearch.com  ticker, former UMass head coach Kevin Morris has accepted the Yale offensive coordinator job.

Morris, a former head coach at WPI as well, had offensive coordinating stints at Stony Brook, Northeastern and UMass. He spent the last three seasons as the head coach at UMass.

If true, thats a great get for the Bulldogs. I actually thought Morris would be in consideration for the HC job so getting him as an OC is a huge plus. Jim do you have any more info re: the coaching staff? I heard Ciotti is back on board, which would be awesome. Can you confirm?

Ciotti is back on board and will coach the running backs. I'd expect an official announcement either by the end of this week or hopefully next week.

Speaking of returning to things that were successful before 2009 (like Flanders as DC and Coach Ciotti)... Will Coach Reno return practices to the afternoon, and end the odd practice of having the season-ending banquet and captain selection the day after the Harvard game?

I sat down with Tony Reno last week for a story which will run on Sunday but did not ask him about what time of day practices would be held or plans for the team banquet. Think those are questions for a later day.
