And Jefferson makes it 30

Yale officially released its incoming freshman class and the only new name is Palo Alto (Calif.) linebacker/tight end Jordan Jefferson.

Jefferson is rated as the No. 191 outside linebacker on the ESPN.com recruiting database and he brings the Yale football Class of 2013 to 30.

A quick bit of research on Jefferson shows that he was at one point committed to Lehigh before obviously having a change of heart.

Jim - In looking at the list, there aren't many interior lineman - 3OLs and 3DLs. I know that players can switch - LBs to DE, etc. But still, where's the beef? Any comment from the coaches?

You are correct, there's not an abundance of size on either side of the line. First, much of the recruiting class was in place before Tom Williams was hired. I also think you need to remember that the defensive line may have been the strength of last year's freshman class. I also count a total of 10 freshmen or sophomore offensive linemen on Yale's 2008 roster so depth at that position should not be an issue. Only time will tell how good a recruiting class it will be.

Maybe so, but I can recall Carm saying you can never have too many big linemen. Also, with the entire O-line graduating, you'd think they would want to replenish.
Finally, if the underclass OLs were really talented, you'd think the coaches would have found a way to get them into games last year, especially with all the offensive problems they had.
