Cook invited to Dallas Cowboys workout
The Dallas Cowboys have invited Charles Cook to its workout on April 10.
Cook, a safety, has caught the attention of NFL scouts since finishing up at Yale. At Yale's Pro Day, Cook ran the 40-yard dash in 4.58 seconds, posted a 38.5-inch vertical leap and a 10-9 broad jump. He also did 18 reps in the bench press.
Other notable safties invited to the Cowboys workout include Oklahoma's Quentin Hayes, TCU's Sam Carter and Chris Hackett, along with Oklahoma State's Lyndell Johnson.
Cook was fourth on the team with 54 tackles last season. He also had a forced fumble and a sack.
He was a two-sport athlete for the Bulldogs, playing both football and baseball.

Wow! Tremendous two sport athlete at Yale.
So exciting.
Congrats, Cookie.. so proud of you
u da man!!
How is it that this kid spent 4 years flying under the Radar with very little or no press and nobody noticed him!? Looking at his pro day performance and the fact he has been invited to A Cowboys workout shows he is one of the VERY small handful of Ivy kids that has an opportunity to make it to the next level. Congrats to Charles Cook and Good Luck! BOOLA BOOLA!
9:12 That is a really good question.
