Stanford promoted offensive coordinator David Shaw to head coach.Shaw was reported to be one of four leading candidates, which included Yale coach Tom Williams, to replace Jim Harbaugh as Stanford's head coach. Considering the impressive performance of the Shaw-led Stanford offense, it seems like a pretty good choice.
