Yale-Harvard "The Game" to kick off at 2:30 p.m.

This year’s 132nd edition of “The Game” between Yale and Harvard will have a later than usual kickoff time.

The historic rivals will play on Nov. 21 at the Yale Bowl, beginning at 2:30 p.m. NBC Sports Network will be televising the game as part of its Ivy League football package of games.

“They asked us to schedule that hour so it could get broadly telecasted as possible,” Yale athletic director Tom Beckett said. “The Yale-Harvard game was selected first for the package and wanted that time to get a large audience around the country as possible.”

Due to the late start time, a temporary lighting system will be needed. Beckett said details on the lighting are still being finalized. The Yale Bowl is the only Ivy League football stadium without lights.

The entire Ivy League package on NBCSN has yet to be released.

Yale leads the series 65-58-8 against Harvard.
