Former Yale WR to join Bulldogs coaching staff (UPDATE 6/7)
Former Yale WR Chandler Henley is expected to join the Yale coaching staff, according to sources.
Henley was named Holy Cross RB coach in March. Prior, he served three seasons as an assistant on the Vanderbilt staff as a graduate assistant.
Henry captained the Bulldogs in 2006 and earned All-Ivy honors.
UPDATE: Henry will be the tight ends coach at Yale. He will replace Patrick Hatch, who has accepted a position in the athletic department at Stony Brook... Also, Chris Smith (Patriots) and Charles Cook (Panthers, Bucs) have been told to be in football shape and be ready for a call, but are not currently with a team.

Chandler Henley? He was an outstanding player and captain. '06 team was the only team to beat Harvard since 2000.
Great hire then!! Nothing like bringing someone who was successful in the program back to lead the new Bulldogs to more success. Looking forward to a great season.
Another terrific move. I'm sure he'll be a great asset in recruiting. He knows the terrain.
Glad you said something I was having a hard time not coming forward with the info.Go Dog's
Who could forget that great catch in the corner of the enzone at tiger town to send the game into overtime and a yale victory.
leaves a job after 3 months?
Why wouldn't he? No comparison between coaching at Holy Cross and Yale, and coming back to your alma mater where u are a big part of the legacy. Who in their right mind wouldn't make that switch?
A bright, creative mind that bodes well for the Bulldog program.
Update: All-IVY and FCS All-American WR Grant Wallace has been hired as a scouting intern with the Miami Dolphins.
Chris; Get on the ball Patrick Hatch is moving to running backs coach.
Where is the press release from Yale that Ciotti is stepping down? He deserves a little credit for his time served at Yale.
Mcgowan on the staff? His twitter and info still says Boston College?
What happened to coach Flanders?
Flanders left instead of accepting demotion
Ciotti retiring from full-time duty
Hatch to Stony Brook as assistant AD
Henley and Rice - two former captains on staff! and both have Ivy rings.
Hatch is no longer at Yale? They have lost 10 coaches in 3 years. Who's left from the original hired staff?
I guess there is currently no running backs coach and no time for Chris to play groundhog.
No big deal he is creating his staff, and it is looking real good!!!.New blood all over
See the results soon enough . Than you can say what you will. I for one am pleased
Well done Chris hope and the family are well.
Sincerely Jon Harris
.
Gone since day-1:
Kevin Morris - OC,QB
Rick Flanders - DC
Larry Ciotti ??? - RB
Kris Barber - TE
Dwayne Wilmot - DL
Drew Petzing - LB
Patrick Hatch - TE
Carlton Hall - DL
So the only ones left are Vashel, who is close with Reno. Conlin who stabbed 90% of those people no longer with Yale in the back and Cahill who's been bumped up with the departures. Makes you wonder.
Chris: Who is the new running backs coach.
Yale Follower:
New RB coach will be a GA/ Quality control guy from the SEC. will be announced soon. Seems like a good hire.
All the negativity is ridiculous. Apparently not many of you understand the profession of college coaching. Most assistant coaches spend two years at a program then move on. What is happening at Yale is nothing out of the ordinary. Th demands of coaching college football take a toll on one's family and makes some re-consider what their professional plan is and will be.
Also, anyone with a title (GA, Quality Control Coach, etc) are coaches. These guys coach every minute of every day. Just because they don't have a fancy title doesn't mean they aren't coaching. In lots of cases, these guys are coaching a lot more than the guys with the catchy job titles.
Get on board folks, it's gonna be a fun ride.
Boola Boola
Lets see hire a neophyte coach at the important running back position who has not even played the position. This must make sense to somebody.
i'm OK with it why are you being such a jerk about it.YOU COULDN'T do a better job.So shut your PIE HOLE .!!!!
It would be nice to get some information on the team instead of BS about coaching changes past and present. The amount of coaching changes on Renos staff is no different than any other ivy leagues school. Simply, position coaches move on unless there are at the end of their careers.
