Wilkins, a 6-4, 200-pound SS/WR, visited Yale last weekend. Wilkins is from Frisco, Texas, and earned 9-5A first-team all-district honors this past season at Wakeland High. Here are some clips of Wilkins.
Fellow Yale recruit DE Ian Baker sent this tweet out after hearing about Wilkins...
Congratulations to @Jwilks_34 for committing to the greatest school on earth! We are going to do big things! #rolldogs

Also keep an eye on two kids from New Jersey. 3-star OT Jared Southern and 3-star DT David Ryslik both took visits to Yale recently, according to NJ.com.
Niceeee, It's begining to look like a Yale bulldog commitments.
ReplyDeleteDancing around my head. I always knew Santa was a Yale Fan.
Merry Christmas Jon Harris
For those of you unable to find Jared Southern, it is because his name is Jared Southers.
ReplyDeleteCan you say game changer.
ReplyDeleteGuys bad news harvard did it to us again . Daniel bailey decommitted from yale going to harvard. L[kes there winning ways. Nice looking recruite. WE HAVE NO LUCK.
ReplyDeleteWalt "Yale Blue" perhaps you ought to call yourself "Walt Dartmouth Green" or "Walt Harvard Crimson." We have "no luck"?? Ha ha ha, you are ignorant and ill informed.. Just wait! Negative troll, begone.
ReplyDeleteMuch too harsh, 11:33. Get some sleep. Walt has every right to be disappointed and express his disappointment. That said, I'm confident the coaches will corral a good class.
ReplyDeleteYale should keep the names of its recruits secret, so Harvard won't steal them.
ReplyDelete@ 3:13 I'm fairly certain that their is atleast 40-50% overlap in the kids that Yale and Harvard are recruiting. These are individuals with a very specific skill set. There are only so many of them out there at various sizes and positions.
ReplyDeleteAll this hearsay aside, Jimmy Wilkins looks like a hell of a football player. Has future SAM linebacker written all over him. Very solid, aggressive, fundamental tackler. That's the thing that stuck out to me, other than being a solid athlete.
Good luck, Jimmy. Represent your high school with pride and make the de-commits regret that decision.
Luckily, a lot of what is REALLY going on does not make this blog. Luckily.
ReplyDeleteReno is doing a great job. The star rating is a total fraud.
