Some thoughts on this year's class

Some quick notes…

So this looks to be the complete list.

I think this year’s group appears to be just as good – if not better – than last year’s class, which was very promising. There seems to be good balance.

OL John Bezney is the highest-rated recruit. OL  Anders Huizenga (6-6, 300 lbs) also looks to be a big addition.

A deep group of WRs gets even strong with the addition of players like Jake DeHart and Mike Siragusa.

Matt Oplinger is part of a talented group of LBs coming in.

Southington’s Stephen Barmore, Rafe Chapple and perhaps Jamal Locke could add to what should be a healthy competition at QB.

The addition of some strong CBs should allow Foye Oluokun to move back to S next season. He was forced to play CB last year.

5:25 what are you basing this info on.?Do you have a complete list,From those schools.
Yale did very well alot of height and speed.Room for these lads to grow....

These guys will not grow. All the guys lose weight after getting here. A poor training and nutrition plan coupled with insane academic and football schedule are not conducive to growth! Just so you know, this is not elite football. This is survival football. And "yes", I know first hand so don't go saying anything else!

Jamal Locke looks very similiar to Deon Randall both were quarterbacks in high school. I expect Locke will be a wide reciever not a running back,

I want to apologize to everyone on being and outspoken jerk.I have very few passions it just so happens. That Yale football is one of them.
I have been watching them for 45 years. So it is a personal thing.I just don't do well when I hear a fool that has his opinion and only his opinion. Can not tolerate others. You are the kind of people that can walk off short pier. Jon Harris

All this talk about needing more size for defensive lineman led me to think of the significance of SPEED, especially after watching the Seahawks Sunday! That can be even more important in the Ivy League, where many of the bigger linemen are slow.

Thats how Harvard has been doing it.I believe Tony and his staff did a great job.I am looking forward to see, how these young men grow with this program.
Like Mr. Richardpatrick, I believe the speed on this Yale football is getting quicker each year. Cheers Jon Harris
Oh Chris thanks for the best coverage in the league..

Football is a physical game. Speed only works until you get hit and then it is concussions, broken bones, torn ligaments and a lot of excuses and bad feelings. What you witnessed in the Yale Bowl in November was a good old fashioned ass whooping by a more physical team that was much bigger at almost all positions. Our kids are ligtweights. Most don't even look like football players when not in uniform. Actually, our linemen look more like basketball players. Just calling it like I see it.

To Jon Harris:
It is nice for you to apologize but you are the one that is intolerant of anyone who does not carry Yale FB Pom Poms. Just review your comments. They speak for themselves. You are not anymore objective than the people you call out.

To 1:51: Please control yourself or find another place to spew out endearments like "aholes." You're disgracing yourself and not doing Yale any good either. Who wants to have anything to do with a place that has fans like you?

Chris:
All of us are grateful for your efforts on behalf of Yale football. That said, would it be possible for you to vet the posts before they see the light of day?. It's a shame, but a great deal of the pitiful material we've been reading lately is better suited to the walls of public bathrooms than the blog of a respected newspaper.

Do not count out Andrew Johnson in the QB competition. This kid has breakaway speed with fantastic play recognition and decision-making skills. He passed for over 2,100 yds and added another 900 yds on the ground with 38 total touchdowns in one of the toughest regions in Georgia AAAAA.
