Furman, Roberts to split time at QB
Tony Reno said senior Henry Furman and Clemson-transfer Morgan Roberts will split time at QB in the season opener against Colgate.
The plan is to swap the quarterbacks every two series. Furman will start the game. Reno said both have played very well and will keep it this way until one pulls ahead.
Sophomore Eric Williams will be the third QB.
Furman played mostly at WR last season. He shifted to QB late in the year and finished the year completing 34 of 59 passes for 376 yards and two TDs. Roberts, a sophomore, was No. 3 on the depth chart at Clemson. He completed two of three passes for the Tigers. In a preseason scrimmage against Brown, Roberts completed 10 of 15 passes.

Send Roberts packing. Furman is the man.
Furman played much better today... but last year should have convinced you that we may well need more than one QB. What I saw today from Roberts made it hard to believe he's ahead of Williams, but anybody can have a bad game.
roberts stunk plain and simple.
let's keep in mind roberts hasn't played in three years, he will be fine and a solid qb in this league. like all our young guys, he will get better every week! if you don't have anything good to say, atleast put your name on it. it's easy to be an anonymous hater!!
