glad for the W. didn't see any of it but a few concerns from looking at the stat sheet:

    two missed XP kicks

I don't know how good Maine's pass defense is, but this looks like Roberts' second lousy game in a row; given how accurate he was a year ago, to go 14 for 33 is worrisome at best

low average per carry for salter

let's hope things get straightened out as we get back into league play

5:52, team gets a huge road win against a solid program, you don't even watch BUT want to point out all negatives????? what a joke! score could have easily been 35-10 Dogs. Dominant performance by the OLine, hard running by Salter, swarming D all night long. Great TEAM win!

Roberts is also playing with second and third string receivers.

Roberts also got dinged up at Dartmouth, looks like his follow through is off.his plant foot seems to be throwing off his back foot.Instead of being able to zip it in there.
But for all intents he managed the O great. Weather was a B also cold and rainy. The Defense is improving.Yes Yale could have hung more points on Maine without the turnovers. But atleast they were in positive take away.
All in all a Great win for Yale and The Ivy League against a solid Maine team. That alot of so called Yale fans were writing about.Sais it once say again. "You can't measure the HEART OF THIS TEAM. GO YALE BEAT PENN YOUR FRIEND JON HARRIS AT LEAST SOME OF YOU.!!!!!! Some of you are just ? Oh Chris ,thanks for monitoring This board and being here for us.

5:52 you are a troll. This game was played with heart and conviction, a phenomenal return after last weekend, and it was a WIN. They found a way, despite multiple injuries and everything else. Yes, they have issues, they are injury ridden - but the point is to find a way nevertheless. They did.

i'm 5:52. i didn't see the game. I'm very glad we won and I want them to do well. I looked at the scoresheet and from looking at said scoresheet those points looked to be legitimate points of concern. That's all I said. I'm not hating and I'm not trolling, so let's all unbunch our panties. I'm happy to hear from those who saw the game that there are valid explanations. And hey, maybe one effing time there could be a legitimate conversation on this blog for a refreshing change of pace.

Hard to believe we have gotten to the point when the Register won't send anyone to cover a Yale football road game.

I did not see the game, but I was impressed to see that there were only five penalties this time. Penalties and dropped passes were two areas where there was room for improvement from previous games. Were there dropped passes, or has this been improved as well?

  13. I watched the game over the internet. Dropped passes weren't an issue for Yale. On the contrary, there were two sensational catches by the Bulldogs -- one by TE Leo Haenni and another by WR Mike Siragusa.

My concern is with additional injuries we sustained at Orono. Jon Bezney, Spencer Rymiszewski and Mike Siragusa all left the field limping at some point.

Chris can we get an updated depth chart. So many players hurt would be nice to know who will play against penn. The Maine QB was intercepted by Lambie Lanman a yale QB or his he now a DB. Nice size for a DB. One more thought Noah Yates can play some mean basketball very athletic nice size for a WR give him a shot.

I second wait Yale blue at 4:43. Need depth start because from all I can tell we are now missing the FOUR top receivers!! Remember when coach Reno said they were day--to-day? Looks like month to month, maybe year to year! Bob Semple

Wrong, Lanbie Lanman did not see the field on Saturday. Noah Yates was injured before the season started. Injuries are not broadcasted to public media in the Ivy league, no one knows anything until last minute. The only time you get any information is if a kid is done for the year. Other than that he will be communicated as "day to day" until he comes back. I agree that the WR position is decimated completely. Hines, Clemons, Siragusa (hope he returns), Gaines, all these guys are hurt. Drwal seems to be appearing spotty as well. Williams-Lopez was hurt early on and is back now, who is left there? Says a little more about the job Roberts is doing without all those starters and players. He needs some improvement, but is doing a nice job considering.

Not to start any trouble but Lambie Lanman name is on the live yale maine blog line 33 or 34 could be a error.

Hold your hat 7:07...I've attended a several practices frosh #25 Marcinick looks pretty darn good and explosive. He started in place of Drwal against Maine. He's extremely fast. Not a lot to go on but his HS highlight link is real good. I think he's a sleeper and will get more targets. Lots of depth at position unlike previous years. In all my years following the Yale Reno and staff should be commended for recruiting such a resilient group. O line starting to have some chemistry. D looked inspired. Great to watch more games on TV finally!!

#17 is Rymiszewski. Lanman was not in the game and cannot play defense with the same number as another defensive player. The PA announcer incorrectly called Lanman's name a couple of times during the game when #17 made the play.

I think we still have available receivers but if we get desperate we can draft TEs. Little played recvr quite well a few years ago and some of the others can back fill at TE or do spot duty at WR

I think Eric Williams is still on the team as a receiver too.

Agree with 8:20... Marcinik is going to be a dangerous weapon for the Eli's. His HS film is really good.

HS film is just that, HS film. Marcinick obviously can play and has been in the mix since game #2. He has been getting reps at meaningful times since then and will definitely turn into a player at some point, however now he has not done enough to be an integral part of what is going on. Now may be the time, or be may still be a ways away, who will know until we see. May be time to dig deep into the roster.

Where are some of these other kids that already play or have played WR? For instance, what is the deal with Austin Reuland? He was a WR until they switched him to RVB in the spring because of lack of depth and injuries. He was dressed on Saturday and did not play. The next RB in was Andrew Johnson (#15) a former QB. If we are so thin at WR why don’t they move him back there? Where is mat Rubino. He seemed to make a few good plays in the spring and appears on the depth chart, but I have not seen him in game action. And what about Ross Drwal? He has been playing since game 1 as well. I know he shares the team lead with 2 TD’s but I just feel like he needs to be more of a presence in the offense for us to be successful. He and Siragusa have the same amount of TD catches on the season so far, however Siragusa’s presence is far bigger than Drwal. He is there and deemed to be good enough to start some games and also get meaningful reps, we need him to show us more here, especially where we are now with these injuries.
