oof, back to back trips to Dartmouth and Maine are really rough travel
ReplyDeleteDartmouth is a nice trip from New Haven, great deli of 91 at exit 2. I agree, Maine is a hike. I think I will stay in New Haven for that one. Great question! How far would you travel for a Yale game?
ReplyDeleteWith only four home games and the first five out of six away, this has got to be the worst schedule in Yale football history.
ReplyDelete4:11: That point's been made more than a few times.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct 9:57AM. The point has been made many times over. The Maine away game is what makes it all the more unbearable. With the others there is not much you can do about them. They are alternating contests. We played all of those teams home last year, that is just the way it goes when you consistently play teams. We have only played Maine 8 times in school history and not for a while. Having to go there is rough and not guaranteed that we will play them next year. So having to go on the road for that is tough.
ReplyDeletePrediction Yale will beat Maine. The team is gonna be tenacious.Just wanted to be the first to say that. Jon Harris Go Bull Dogs
ReplyDeleteGreat question! How far would you travel for a Yale game?
ReplyDeleteSince I made the trip to Hawaii in '87, I guess it's 6000 miles
Maine will play Yale in the Bowl in 2017
ReplyDeleteI as well Mr. Walsh. If the hawaii was televised I would stay home just as I am for the Maine game. Jon Harris
ReplyDeleteNot me, Jon. If I still lived in CT, I would be following the team to ME and making a long weekend out of the trip. Always enjoyed seeing the team play in a new venue.
ReplyDeleteSince I'm in Arizona, it's just a bit too far. The good news is, I'm retiring next year and will be attending all games, home and away beginning in 2017.
Congratulations Mr. Walsh, I wish my hospital afforded me time to attend games .Iam happy watching it on TV.Hopefully I can attend a some . sincerely Jon Harris :)
