Yale has named Carlton Hall its new defensive line coach, the school announced Thursday.
Hall replaces Dwayne Wilmot, who stepped down for personal reasons.
Hall comes over from Elon where he coached the defensive line. Hall is a former linebacker at Vanderbilt and signed a free agent contract with the San Diego Chargers in 1998.
He has also served as an assistant at the University of West Alabama, the University of Houston, Georgetown, Columbia and worked with Yale head coach Tony Reno at Harvard from 2007-10.
Looks like Hall is on the decline. Went to FBS and went right back down to the FCS then Ivy. He had a better job at Harvard 4 years ago.
