Life could have easily taken a different path for Yale junior Deon Randall.
He grew up on 33rd street in San Diego, home to the Crips street
gang, and when he was 11, lost his father to diabetic complications.
Randall could have fallen victim to the streets.

A great choice! I don't think he had a bad game all year!
ReplyDeletetwo things men .yale football team does not lift weights during football season. anyone no why? two it would of benn nice if logan scott started the harvard game. what a shame.
ReplyDelete7:23 - I don't know where you get your inside information but it could not be more incorrect. As a recent graduate and former starter on the team, I can assure you that the team lifts three times per week during the season: EARLY Tues and Thurs mornings and again on Sunday afternoons. The non-traveling players also lift on Fridays.
ReplyDeleteThis blog is downright hysterical at times.
Thank you, 10:58. There are many hysterics/haters posting on this blog. Read the outpourings of someone who styles himself (I can't believe it's woman) Truth Teller. It would be wonderful if people like you would tell it like it is.
ReplyDeleteMy Son is a current player 10:58 info about lift is fact.
ReplyDelete8:47 AM Thanks for the insults! When you start debunking what I say rather than making lame personal attacks you will be more credible.
ReplyDeleteI am well aware of how often they lift during the season. In fact given the physicality and intensity of the practices, I would argue they lift too much during the season, so why attack me based on someone else's inaccurate information? Maybe because you have no credible response to the issues I have raised.
Sometimes the truth truly hurts.

OK, OK. You got me.
ReplyDeleteAs I love saying, the truth hurts, and the truth is I don't have a son at Yale, much less a son who's a starter on its football team. You probably figured that out from my somewhat angry, incoherent posts. But now I'm OK. I'm back on my meds.
IF we're really telling the truth, I don't have any children or a wife either. No room for them in Mom's basement apartment where I live with my inflatable friend.
And yes, I do hate that Tony Reno. When we were little he took my rubber ducky and never gave it back. I'll get him though. I've created a lot of anonymous posters to back me up.
This is so great. Before I found Portal 31 nobody paid any attention to me. They wouldn't listen to what I said or print what I wrote. My letters to the editor were all rejected as was I.
Have a great Thanksgiving!

10:19: You're a fraud. You may be telling the truth, but that doesn't make you TruthTeller.
ReplyDeleteTruthTeller
Oh, bad, bad 2:23. You are NOT TruthTeller. I'm TruthTeller.
ReplyDeleteTruthTeller
OK Now we have imposters pretending to be me

It's difficult to believe sometimes that this is a Yale-related blog. We have one comment dealing with the post about Randall's election as Captain, a development that I, too, salute. And most of the remaining 10 comments go off on a tangent, either floating or debunking misinformation in language not becoming to Yale men.
