Around the Ivy League

From the Ivy League...

Brown 42, Cornell 35
ITHACA, N.Y. -- Senior quarterback Patrick Donnelly threw for a 295 yards and three touchdowns as Brown held on for a 42-35 Ivy League win over Cornell at chilly Schoellkopf Field Saturday afternoon.

Princeton 51, Harvard 48 (3OT)
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Last year's script was borderline unrealistic. This one took it to a new level. One year after Quinn Epperly hit Roman Wilson for a 34-yard touchdown pass to push Princeton past Harvard, the two did it again Saturday to finish off an incredible, and record-setting, 51-48 triple-overtime win at Harvard Stadium.

Penn 28, Yale 17
PHILADELPHIA -- Penn entered the third week of Ivy League play in a three-way tie for first place and unfinished business to settle against Yale. The Bulldogs were the only member of the Ancient Eight to beat the Quakers in conference play last season, and the Quakers found a measure of revenge at Franklin Field via a 28-17 win.

Dartmouth 56, Columbia 0
HANOVER, N.H. --  Dartmouth piled up 575 yards of offense while the defense limited visiting Columbia to 95 as the Big Green rolled to a 56-0 blanking of the Lions. It was the largest margin of victory for Dartmouth (3-3, 2-1 Ivy) in 77 years, while Columbia (0-6, 0-3 Ivy) dropped its seventh-straight game dating back to last year.

Chris we need to open the playbook if we have one? we need to change some of the off sets .the other teams know what were running. get away from the bubble some sat. that play is going to be a touchdown for theother team .lets do some play action passes to our running back or a screen play left or right even middle screen would be nice. and one more the good old trap play for candler rich with his speed it would be a nifty cutback run. the pro set would be great for this team just my thoughts . your doing agreat job.sventy

Walt ... good thoughts but have you honestly looked at our short passing game? The accuracy is terrible. Even if the pass is completed the receiver (RB,slot or WR) can't do anything with it as they are in such crappy position to make a play or advance the ball. Most of the time they are just lucky to hold on and not fumble or get smoked on the play. Plus, our QBs seldom throw the ball to the left side of the field, which I might add is wide open. You should go and have a chat with the OC.

8:05 I agree with you and pass plays for the most part are slow developing. If Roberts is playing this week he needs to get rid of the ball quicker and look at more than one reciever. All season we have had wide open recievers who did not get the ball because our quarterbacks lock into one reciever even if double covered. It is amazing the quarterback coach does not see this.
