According to the http://www.footballscoop.com/ site, former Yale defensive line coach Duane Brooks will be named the head coach at Colby College, a Division III school in Waterville, Maine.
Brooks spent the last 15 seasons at Yale and he wore a few different hats as in addition to his defensive line coaching responsibilities, he also coached Yale's JV team in recent years and was also the liaison between Yale and the NFL scouts.
Colby is coming off a 3-5 season.
Congrats, Coach Brooks!
ReplyDeleteJim, have you reached out to Coach Williams? What do you think the future holds for him? Go back to the NFL as an assistant? College assistant? Difficult time finding another job? I am happy to see members of his staff landing jobs already. None of them deserved this outcome.
ReplyDeleteMost of them didnt deserve to be on the staff in the first place.
ReplyDeleteJim, if this isn't true....strike three for you
ReplyDeleteStrike three? If the story's not true then the blame is on footballscoop, whom Jim properly attributed for the story, not on Jim.
ReplyDeleteJust because it is somewhere on the internet doesn't mean it should be reported. There needs to be some oversight. Strike three....
ReplyDeleteThere is too much gossip in this world...this better be true or the views of this site will go down exponentially
ReplyDeleteSlim, this is starting to become an issue. Measures shall be taken.
ReplyDeleteJim is one of the best in the business, part of being a beat writer is breaking the news. Sometimes it might not be as accurate as we all hope, And I am sure no one feels worse about blogging about mis-information more than Mr. Fuller. Thx Jim for keeping a pulse on recruiting and the employment opportunities of the old staff.
ReplyDelete"There needs to be some oversight," says ANONYMOUS. Hilarious. Well, another anonymous says there doesn't need to be. There. it's even.
ReplyDeleteFor the 6th and 7th posts, the headline in Jim's posting is "Report: Brooks headed to Colby." That is factual. You as a reader see the name of the source of the report - because Jim properly cited it - and follow the link if you wish. You can also put as much weight to that information as you wish, options that include visiting this blog no longer. If you feel that this constitutes irresponsible journalism on Jim's part then maybe this blog isn't for you.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Brooks isn't going (back) to Colby. I still stand by what I said. Footballscoop got it wrong, not Jim.
