Recruiting list on hold

It's looking like the list of incoming freshmen will have to wait until early June.

Yale is waiting on the spring semester grades of Pioneer High of Ann Arbor, Michigan receiver/defensive back Brandis Yarrington and Loomis Chaffee quarterback Jake Semones (the son of Yale linebacker coach Doug Semones) to see if they qualify for the bands that the Yale staff have them slotted into. Word is Yarrington's grades are top-notch this spring while I imagine it shouldn't be too hard for them to get academic progress reports on Semones for obvious reasons. In other words, it seems more of a case of when and not if they get the final thumb's up sign and will join the Yale football Class of 2014. As is their custom, the Bulldogs will not announce the class until all the i's are dotted and t's are crossed. Yarrington's grades should be available to the Yale admissions department late next week while Semones' grades won't be available likely until late May which is why the list probably won't be released until June.

The mystery man in Yale's recruiting process has been Florida running back Charles Takeh, who is listed as a Yale commit in South Florida newspapers. However, he has not been recruited by Yale according to a very reliable source although he is certainly able to try out for the team.

Here's the list of players committed and accepted into Yale not including transfers Greg Carlsen and Trevor Peterson. If you count the two transfers and two aforementioned recruits, Yale would have a class of 26 (although I believe Carlsen will only have three years of eligibility).
