Yale Football Day at Norwich's Dodd Stadium

Here's a release from the San Francisco Giants Class AA team, which is promoting Yale football.

Their GM, Charlie Dowd, was GM for the Ravens in New Haven.

(Norwich, Conn) - On Wednesday, August 29, the Connecticut Defenders will host Yale
Football Day at Dodd Stadium. The first 2,000 fans will receive a ticket to a 2007 Yale
football home game. Kids who wear any football shirt will receive free admission as the
Defenders host the New Hampshire Fisher Cats at 7:05 p.m.
The Defenders are proud to partner with this historic football program that is the popular
preseason pick to win the Ivy League. In 2006, the Bulldogs shared the Ivy League
Championship with Princeton. The Yale Bowl has made recent multi million dollar
renovations for a more fan friendly environment. The Yale football tickets have an $11
face value.
“The football program has a rich history and we are proud to team up with them for a
great family event, said Defenders General Manager, Charlie Dowd. “We hope that
people will take the trip to and enjoy a couple of great sporting events.”
The Connecticut Defenders are the Class Double A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants,
and a member of the 12-team Eastern League. Fans can purchase new team
merchandise, individual game tickets, group outings, corporate picnics and skyboxes by
visiting the team’s official website at www.ctdefenders.com or by calling (860) 887-
7962.
